Points of Distribution maps, or POD maps.
It will be necessary to have Points of Distribution (POD) GIS mapping showing COVID 19 drive-through testing locations and distribution site maps. Examples of POD maps done for H1N1 in Lake County are referenced below.
These maps are critical for First Responders and the public. For First Responders, these support planning, logistics, site situational awareness, traffic access and control. The public can be more easily funneled through if they see how the POD site is set up, in advance. This would need to be jointly developed with the Health Dept., Law Enforcement, Emergency Management and potentially the County Engineer for jersey barriers and barricades.
