GIS Data Sources
HIFLD
There is a wealth of critical infrastructure GIS data Rest services through the Homeland Security Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data, HIFLD, DHS resource group. Some counties will have much of these data created locally. Local data is always more accurate in currency, content, etc. than a Federal sourced national data set. I suggest you look into what HIFLD has that you don’t. A ton of data is available, geared for our homeland security mission.
Publicly available HIFLD GIS data is related to the Homeland Security Information Network HSIN.
